About Technology Transfer
Technology transfer is the process by which universities and other organizations attempt to bring to society the benefits provided by discoveries and inventions made by researchers. We encourage anyone in the university community to bring their new ideas to us. We then work to legally protect these ideas and to license or sell them to companies that will bring products and services based on these ideas to the marketplace. Technology transfer is part of a larger effort undertaken by UNLV to integrate our research and teaching into the economy and social fabric of our state, nation, and world community with the goal of improving quality of life.
