UNLV Research Council
The University Research Council (URC) serves as an advisory body to the
Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies to provide review
and advice regarding University research policies developed and implemented through the Office of the
include:
1. University Intellectual Property Policy
2. Technology Transfer/Research Compliance Policies
3. Internal Awards Programs (for faculty and students)
4. Indirect Costs (F & A) Policies
5. Grants and Contracts Administration Policies
The URC also plays an integral role in working with the Vice President for
Research and Graduate Studies to develop a strategic plan for university research as well as
to identify resource priorities.
