Nevada casinos generated a gross gaming revenue of $9.4 billion in 2002. Clark County (Las Vegas) accounted for $7.6 billion of the statewide total.

2. HOOVER DAM
More than 33 million visitors have toured this massive structure since tours began in 1937. Hoover Dam is an arch-gravity dam, 660 feet thick at its base and 726 feet high. It provides 4 to 5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

3. FREMONT STREET
Visitors to the Fremont Street Experience enjoy an exciting pedestrian promenade in the neon center of downtown Las Vegas. Five city blocks are covered with a canopy of 2.1 million lights enhanced by 550,000 watts of sound and special effects. The free, one-of-a-kind light and sound shows are presented nightly at dusk. Many special events and concerts are held throughout the year at the Fremont Street Experience.

4. RED ROCK CANYON
Located just 15 miles west of Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a picturesque area of rock formations and desert with a 3,000-foot escarpment. Red Rock is a favorite destination for hikers and riding enthusiasts and is home to feral horses, wild burros, bighorn sheep, coyotes and a variety of desert plant life.

The Las Vegas Strip is both an All-American Road and a National Scenic Byway, prestigious federal designations awarded to roads recognized nationally and internationally for their outstanding and highly unique qualities. Extraordinary sights include a giant Egyptian pyramid, a medieval castle, the New York City skyline, an Italian lakeside village, the Eiffel Tower, Venetian canals, and a Roman temple. With neon everywhere, it's like no place else on earth.
